Rotoscoping

TAYLOR SWIFT'S "SHAKE IT OFF"

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

In 2015 myself and 40 other animators embarked on a project where we were each given 2 seconds of footage (approximately 90 frames) of Taylor Swift’s popular music video “Shake it off.”

The challenge was to rotoscope over the top of the footage in a creative and entertaining way, and then afterwards the footage was stitched back together again. The result ended up better than the original, and the clip got over 1 million views on Youtube, and was also featured in articles all over the world such as the New York Times.
